Making it easier to understand and deal with fibroids
You’ve been told it’s common.
You’ve googled it at 10pm and found nothing useful.
You deserve better than that.
We're not selling to exploit women, we're actively working against poor online advice.
We're developing the missing data - so that you can feel confident in the decisions you make, from quick fixes to surgery and long term lifestyle changes.
Most importantly, we're building a community so you don't need to feel alone in this journey anymore.
Less time searching. More time knowing.
Meet our founder
Hi I'm Polly,
After heavy bleeding and floods, feeling exhausted and run down, I was diagnosed with fibroids in 2024.
Like many women, I didn't need surgery and I opted out of contraceptive treatment. I wasn't offered a follow up and I felt confused and uncertain about my condition, unsure what to do.
I went straight to the internet to find alternative treatments; homeopathic options, supplements, diets, accupuncture - anything. I spent time money on anything I thought might help. Much of it didn't.
I quickly learnt there isn't much known about fibroids, despite it affecting so many women - often with life limiting symptoms. So I decided something needs to change.
I read thousands of women's accounts online, across charities and social media. This gave me a clear understanding of what this community needs, what we are looking for.
I'm building Leio to help all women with fibroids navigate this journey, to feel empowered and in control of their condition. To find products that actually make a difference, and get advice from experts that really care.
Our beliefs
Being dismissed is not the same as being fine. Just because fibroids are ‘common’, doesn’t mean they're ‘acceptable’.
Living with pain, missing work, and being told to wait is not something any woman should just absorb.
We believe honest information, including what we don’t know and what the research is still working out, is more useful than false reassurance.
We are not a wellness brand. We are not trying to make you feel better without giving you anything real. We are not going to sell you a supplement without telling you exactly what it does, what the evidence is, and what it won’t do. We’re on your side.
